So, Deon was waiting for the 2 sleepyheads to arrive at forum. Bought a drink at Spinellis, took a seat at the open air area and was going to start my revision. Then Deon suddenly caught sight of this skinny Indian guy coming towards me. Deon was sitting at the very end, so the only person he could have been approaching is yours truly. Indeed, it was me. In his hand, he held this brown tattered book with some inscriptions on the front. Then he started talking in this really heavy Indian accent.. (No, not the irritating ones we imitate for racist jokes, his was really.... real.)
Guru: Good afternoon, God bless you.
Deon: ........
Guru: May I have a minute of your time to read your fortune.
Deon: I don't pay people for this, not interested.
Guru: It's okay, you don't have to pay me. May I have a seat?
Deon: Alright then, please.
Then he went on telling me some really shocking truths about myself. And I'm not talking about general truths that apply to most commoners, but really specific things that I hold close to my heart. It was really a scene outta David Blaine's shows. I was ok, f*cking shocked, but I held my cool and pretended to be calm. Darn this guy's good. Ok, seriously, he told me really specific stuff in like 3 mins and I was totally blown away by him. Then he asked me to think of something and he wrote it down without me even telling him. Ok, my pants almost dropped. Then I showed him my right hand and he proceeded telling me my fortune. It was quite positive. Oh well. Anyway after that he left. Of course he asked for any amount I would like to give.
Deon: Here you can have my coins.
Sorry people, but I'm rather broke. But this guy read my heart and mind well. And he did not flatter me at all. Anyway, whatever trick he had up his sleeve was rather impressive and worth paying, but somehow, it looked more true than anything. This lingering sense of ambiguity was been there the whole day after he left.
And, I really hoped what he said was true. Have to wait 2 months to find out.
Have you people listened to Sister Hazel? Go check out some really solid rock and roll in it.
I have bought Ronin's Do or Die and it's more than decent. Go grab it too. Ya, and they did come back to VS for teachers' day to perform. WTF.
Cheekydeon has gone off to study again.
