Have you people watched Ray Charles. Yeah its a great movie. Very sad life of a negro kid with an immense talent going blind, getting some kinda phobia due to his brothers death while he was young, getting hooked on heroine and how people tried to trick him. How he became this very innocent happy guy to some high flier but not after having to go through bad shit that carved him to become something else. Sad sad sad. Quincy Jones was his teen friend, didnt know that though.
Though the movie really made me revalue myself as a musician and also appreciate jazz and country blues significantly.
Very inspiring. Read this DW article today which had this quote, "I rather try and fail, then to take the safe route and succeed but regret, knowing that you let something slip away." This kinda quotes really help me along. My evening brightened up. Can't believe it.
