1st Formal Post here.

Hey everyone,

Im typing from my dorms right now, the dorms are like excellent and stuff. With great company and people like jam in the basement. Not mention that all the musicians here are incredibly talented. I sometimes feel like I don't deserve to be here. Its quite depressing but I guess its mainly a combination of factors.

Your in a foreign land, your lost, you are not used to their weather, food, systems and language. And it sucks big time that school hasn't started and all the students are floating around. Its a good thing for me that I so many other foreign students surrounding me. And some of them are already becoming good friends. I know guys from UK, Trinidad, France, Canada, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Mexico and girls from Mexico, France and Peru. Not to mention the other US people. There are quite a few people from Rhode Island.

School here is a little different, I mean its not like its at some deserted place. Its at the big city of Boston, metropolitan and everything. Its like things here are very expensive and the standard of living is definitely high. But they have everything here, from Mac shops to other stuff like clothes. Newbury street for all the nightlife is just around the corner.

Its really a city school with like another 119 colleges nearby, including Harvard, MIT etc. The schools facilities are the bomb, you can ask my mother or Shan and everyone will tell you the same thing. Its fantastic. One of the biggest music schools in the world and also hands down the best percussion department in the world. Its been a blast but I'm missing you guys! I miss Singapore and my family and Shan so much too. For those who want my USA number do let me know, if you want my mailing address, just let me know.

I hope everyone is doing well in Singapore, don't take things for granted, cause you will be thrown into shock at any time. Like me. It gets like depressing sometimes, like what Shan expected. But its expected to get better.

Dearie! I miss you so so much! Thank god your still in the USA! Hang in there k, I love you! Here are some photos from my trip to visit Shan at San Francisco and then when she came over to visit me!
